Aquatic Park Lifeguard Program
The Aquatic Park Lifeguard Training Program (APLTP) offers further training modules specific to aquatic based theme/amusement parks. The program is designed to equip participants with the essential skills and knowledge needed to ensure the safety and well-being of visitors to aquatic parks featuring wave pools, water slides, lazy rivers, wave machines, inflatable obstacles, and other water-based amusements. Learning content includes supervision methods, aquatic rescue techniques, preventive measures, emergency response, first aid and amusement/ride operations.

Open Water Lifeguard Program
The Open Water Lifeguard Training Program (OWLTP) offers further training modules specific to outdoor open water environments such as lakes, lagoons, dams, flat-water or slow moving rivers without rapids and non-surf beaches. The program is designed to equip participants with the essential skills and knowledge needed to ensure the safety and well-being of users engaging in recreational aquatic environments where various activities may be undertaken such as swimming, wading, inflatable obstacles, and other aquatic sports. Identify and Report Children and Young People at Risk
This course provides the skills and knowledge required to identify children and young people who are at risk and report in line with legislative requirements. This work occurs within legislative and policy frameworks and carries a duty of care responsibility. This unit applies to workers in a range of job roles providing services to children and young people including in community services and health contexts.

Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
The CPR course teaches essential skills for cardiac emergencies, including CPR, AED use, and handling complications like regurgitation. Provide Basic Emergency Life Support
This course provides essential skills for responding to medical emergencies in the workplace or community. This course covers key techniques such as performing CPR, managing choking, and assisting with unconscious or breathing individuals until emergency services arrives.

Provide First Aid
The First Aid course, available face-to-face and online, teaches essential skills for emergencies, including CPR, defibrillator use, and managing conditions like anaphylaxis and choking. It covers assessing casualties, ensuring safety, and basic anatomy, with a focus on incident reporting, improving skills, and addressing psychological impacts.

HLTAID012
Provide First Aid in an Education and Care Setting
Provide First Aid in an Education Care Setting course trains education and care workers to respond to first aid emergencies. It covers identifying and treating illness or injury, CPR, defibrillation, and administering medications like autoinjectors and asthma medication. Participants learn about basic anatomy, age-specific CPR, incident documentation, debriefing, and addressing psychological impacts.

HLTAID014
Provide Advanced First Aid
The Advanced First Aid course, offered face-to-face and online, includes advanced components beyond HLTAID011. Delivered in one day with online learning. It covers managing complex emergencies, such as hypothermia and spinal injuries, using tourniquets, and provides practical scenarios, casualty documentation, and debriefing on improvements and psychological impacts.

Provide Advanced Resuscitation and Oxygen Therapy
The Advanced Resuscitation and Oxygen Therapy course, following Australian Resuscitation Council guidelines, trains participants in complex situations across community and workplace settings. It covers CPR, advanced airway management, use of tourniquets and various dressings, and administering medical-grade oxygen.

Manage First Aid Services
The Manage First Aid Services and Resources is targeted for first aid or management roles, teaches risk assessment, resource allocation, and compliance with safety regulations. Students will inspect first aid kits, manage stock, develop action plans, and conduct incident debriefings to improve workplace first aid services and address individual needs.

The Occupational First Aid course, building on HLTAID011, is designed for current or aspiring occupational first aiders. Provide Emergency Care for Suspected Spinal Injury
The Provide Emergency Care for Suspected Spinal Injury provides the confidence to provide emergency care for suspected spinal injuries. Delivered in half a day with online learning. You’ll learn to recognise and manage spinal injuries, immobilise the cervical spine, evaluate the need to move the casualty, and prepare them for transport. The course includes practical training on CPR, severe bleeding, and casualty handover to minimise risk and improve response readiness.

Provide Pain Management
Provide Pain Management equips personnel from emergency services, volunteer groups, or medically supervised first aid organisations with the skills to administer analgesics for pain management. It covers identifying the need for analgesia, administering medications like aspirin, ibuprofen, paracetamol, methoxyflurane, and Entonox, and includes casualty handovers and maintaining a Drug Register.

This coursewill provide you with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to identify potentially hazardous manual tasks, recognise sources of risk, and apply controls to perform tasks safely. You’ll learn about body mechanics, the importance of posture and positioning, use various mechanical aids common in the health and community sectors and how to identify and report injury symptoms.
